The Ancient city of Angkor
Located just 6 km from Hotel de la Paix, The world heritage archeological site of Angkor spans more than a hundred square miles just north to the western extent of the Tonle Sap Lake.
Construction of the city began in the 9th century by Jayavarman II, one of Angkor's greatest Kings. This vast city was the most important and powerful one in the region, serving as its capital for more than 600 years. It has 1000’s of temple ruins, statues, and relief’s, some still in their natural state.
Excursions to the ancient city can be organized by Hotel de la Paix and include your own private vehicle and guide, along with all other supplies to make your trip as comfortable as possible.
